To make cycling safer and more inviting the Dutch built a vast network of cycle paths that are clearly marked, have smooth surfaces, separate signs and lights for cyclists, and are wide enough to allow side-by-side cycling and overtaking. At roundabouts it is the cyclist that has prority. In many cities the paths are completely segregated from motorised traffic. I really like these suggestions. I cycle in and out of work everyday and it takes a fairly confident cyclists to negotiate the streets of London!I'm guessing that some of the suggestions - segregated cycle routes are within the gift of Lambeth council to implement. The CCG would certainly be interetsed in working with the council to enable this to happen.Other suggestions - such as making sure GP surgeries have good cycle locking facilities we should be able to do relatively easily and quickly.I...

Post created (Commissioning for Carers - Key Principles for Clinical Commissioning Groups)
Suporting carers would be part of empowering communities to support themselves. A key theme that is continually being raised in the BIG Lambeth health debate.The key principles are all principles that Lambeth CCG would sign up to. Maybe Lambeth CCG should include mapping existing carers needs and services, to enable commissioning advice, information and support services for carers in their commissioning intentions for 2014/15?
